Overview

Around the Lake Give’r Take 30 is a community-rooted trail race held annually at Cultus Lake, British Columbia. What began in 2002 as a grassroots event organized by members of the Vedder Running Club has since evolved into a beloved fixture in the Chilliwack running calendar. In 2016, the Around the Lake Trail Race Society was officially formed to ensure the race’s long-term sustainability and to continue its legacy of community, trail stewardship, and spirited adventure.

Run entirely by volunteers from the local trail running community, the race offers a challenging and scenic course that loops around Cultus Lake, showcasing some of the most beautiful forest trails in the region. True to its name, the event dares runners to “give’r” through technical terrain, unpredictable weather, and muddy conditions that have become part of the race’s rugged charm.

With the help of generous sponsors and dedicated community members, Around the Lake Give’r Take 30 continues to thrive as a trail event that blends competition, connection, and contribution. Whether you're chasing a PR or just hoping to survive the lake loop, this race embodies the heart and grit of trail running in British Columbia.
