Overview
The BC Backyard Ultra in Sicamous, BC, is not just a race, it’s an endurance showdown where speed doesn’t matter, but relentless determination does.
Runners tackle a 6.706 km (4.167 mi) loop every hour on the hour, through a mix of scenic trails and paved stretches with minimal elevation.
There’s no finish line, only the last runner standing earns victory, the coveted Silver Ticket, and an invitation to the 2026 Canadian Championship, the gateway to Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra World Championship.
The staging area buzzes with community spirit, endless high-fives, and that unique mix of tension and camaraderie only a backyard ultra can bring. Come prepared to run, rest, repeat… and push beyond what you thought possible.
