From the foot of Mount Rainier to Tacoma’s waterfront—one wild, scenic team adventure

Overview

Rainier to Ruston is an unforgettable team relay race that begins beneath the towering majesty of Mount Rainier and finishes at the cool shores of Puget Sound in Tacoma. With teams of 2, 3, 4, or 6 runners, this race is all about camaraderie, grit, and having fun as you chase the sunrise through forests, past rivers, and along trails.

Expect quirky traditions, the smell of sweaty socks in Ziplocs, and an epic finish line party complete with food, beer, and bragging rights. The event is USATF sanctioned, and the new 2025 route starts in Carbonado and showcases the best of the Pacific Northwest landscape.
