A competitive training ground since 1972, with Brooks-sponsored teams and coached workouts for every level.
Founded in the 1970s as a training ground for postcollegiate athletes still chasing Olympic-trials-caliber goals, Club Northwest is now a roughly 700-member team sponsored by Brooks Running. Many weekly runs require membership and a tryout, but Tuesday workouts are open to all and draw about 50 runners, from former high-school track athletes to complete newcomers. In summer, the club hosts weekly All-Comers track meets open to the whole community.
