Washington

Overview

SWITMO (Skagit–Whatcom–Island Trail Maintenance Organization) is a dedicated crew of volunteers who help build, maintain, and promote the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail, along with community trails across Skagit, Whatcom, and Island Counties. Since 2005, we’ve been out on the ground—digging tread, clearing brush, and making sure hikers can experience the incredible landscapes of our region.

From Blanchard Mountain to Anderson Mountain, our work parties bring people together to care for trails, learn new skills, and give back to the places we love. No experience? No problem. We provide the tools, training, and camaraderie—you just bring your energy, gloves, and a willingness to get a little dirty.

Whether you join for a single Saturday or every month, you’ll be part of a team that’s paving the way for future generations of hikers and trail lovers.
