Overview
Drew’s Angel Creek 50 is a true Alaskan ultra experience. Featuring 50-mile and 50K distances, this race covers the Chena River Recreation Area on trails that alternate between runnable hard-packed sections and brutally technical ridge lines. Expect creek crossings, rocky climbs, and big mountain views. The race ends at the iconic Chena Hot Springs Resort—perfect for celebrating your accomplishment with a well-earned soak.
Course
Point-to-point route, starting at Twin Bears Camp (50M) or Angel Rocks Trailhead (50K) and finish at Chena Hot Springs Resort
Boreal forest trails, exposed tundra ridges, technical rocky sections, swampy lowlands, and creek crossings.
Includes remote segments of Chena Dome Trail with minimal foot traffic, offering solitude and rugged beauty
Weather can be variable; prepare for heat, rain, or sudden cold conditions
