Overview

The Outlaw Trail Ultra Half Marathon is a scenic and challenging point-to-point race in the Sawtooth National Forest. Starting at Diamondfield Jack Campground near Magic Mountain Ski Area, the course drops from high elevation and takes runners through stunning mountain terrain to Third Fork Campground. With a blend of rugged jeep trails and flowing single-track, this race offers a perfect mix of adventure and speed. The event celebrates the history of Idaho’s outlaw country while showcasing the beauty of the Rock Creek Recreation Area.

  • Mostly downhill

  • Remote forest trails with moderate technical sections

  • Sweeping mountain views and forested single-track in the Sawtooth National Forest

  • Slightly longer than a Half, with single-track. First 3 miles on Deadline Ridge Road (jeep/ATV trail); final 10+ miles on single-track trail

  • Start at Diamondfield Jack Campground and finish at Third Fork Campground
