Overview
The Lone Peak Vertical Kilometer is not for the faint of heart. This race launches from the Big Sky Resort base area and sends runners charging up to the clouds, gaining over 3,600 feet of elevation in just under three miles. Every step is a test of grit as you push up ski slopes, ridge lines, and technical alpine terrain toward the towering summit of Lone Peak.
What makes this event special is its raw, untamed mountain energy.
