Island climbs, seaside vibes, lifelong trail stories

Island climbs, seaside vibes, lifelong trail stories

Overview

Spend a long weekend on Orcas Island where moss-draped old-growth, rocky switchbacks, and postcard vistas of Puget Sound team up for a mountain-by-the-sea adventure. After every summit spin, runners roll back into Doe Bay Resort for hot tubs, garden-to-table bites, and a finish-line party that keeps the laughter echoing across the cove. It is trail running’s version of summer camp; only with bigger hills and better pizza.

Key Highlights

  • Misty forest corridors

  • Cascade waterfalls and moss carpets

  • Summit panoramas over the San Juans
