Run across the largest coastal sand dunes in North America.

Overview

Welcome to the Siuslaw Dunes! These point-to-point races take you on an unforgettable journey across Oregon’s dynamic coastal terrain — where shifting sand dunes meet old-growth rainforest, rushing streams, and wild ocean beaches. The adventure begins at Honeyman State Park, just outside Florence, Oregon, and delivers a race experience unlike anywhere else in the country.

This is more than just a run. It is an immersion into the untamed Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, the largest expanse of coastal dunes in North America. From tree islands rising out of golden sand to remote shoreline stretches, every mile surprises with raw, natural beauty. Staged in lakeside charm with camping right on site, Siuslaw Dunes is a race you will carry with you long after the finish line.

Course Description

The Siuslaw Dunes courses are a wild mix of terrain. Runners will cross ancient open dunes, weave through lush temperate rainforest, ford sparkling coastal streams, and finish along remote stretches of ocean beach. Expect soft sand that will challenge your legs, forest singletrack that offers shade and calm, and wide-open dune landscapes that feel otherworldly.

50K runners cover the full expanse of the dunes and coastline, testing endurance against the elements. The 20M gives a grand taste of the dunes and forest, while the 12K is a perfect early-season challenge for anyone eager to experience this unique landscape.
